Erwann Wernli

I'm a PhD Student at Software Composition Group, University of Bern since September 2009.

The group carries out research in the field of software evolution and software reengineering.

My research interest span several areas:

  • pragmatic solutions to address adaptive, corrective, and perfective maintenance
  • dynamic software evolution, variability at run-time
  • object-oriented programming language abstractions

I'm currently working on a project to enable dynamic software evolution in a safer way than the "fix-and-continue" approach of dynamic languages so that the technique can be used to fix production systems quickly as well.

Prior to join SCG, I graduated from the Swiss Federal Institude of Technology in 2004. I worked then in the industry for a few years where I was involved  in the development of several Intranet and ECM solutions written in .NET or Java.
